Onmitsu Kage 隠密陰

I've spoken in-depth with Kacem about the Onmitsu Kage Co. 隠密陰 project, and knowing how he feels about it I can only recommend it with warmth to everybody. From what I've seen so far, it is an amazing website. Of course it is a gold mine for anyone interested in learning from Kacem Zoughari, but what really strikes me is that the love for the martial art of Hatsumi sensei shines through clearly in this project. Each clip is divided into chapters with accurate information on waza names etc., and knowing what the future will bring in terms of content it is certainly an invaluable tool to use for anybody wishing to learn this art. Of course, it is by no means a substitute for one-on-one teaching, but it has never meant to be that either.

Having spent the last couple of days going through Onmitsu Kage, I have to say that it has surpassed my expectations in every way. The content is obviously amazing. Anyone who has had the pleasure of attending a seminar with Kacem knows the level of skill and knowledge that he consistently epitomizes. Now with this site as a tool, not only can you re-watch the technique again and again, but each technique is captioned with the correct name and kanji to provide additional insight and fodder for deeper study. With such impressive content, the next question is interface and Onmitsu Kage delivers in spades. Everything is clean, and each seminar is well labeled and easy to find. Go into any particular seminar and each technique is labeled and well edited to provide amazing instruction in easy to digest videos. Kacem's style and humor shine through in the videos, providing levity and entertainment to go with the depth of knowledge provided. It's hard to believe that this is only the first release, as the site and functionality are polished far beyond what you would expect from a site that just launched. With more than ten seminars up already, and more being added regularly, I am extremely excited to see what the future holds for Onmitsu Kage. My utmost thanks to Kacem and the rest of the team behind this project, you have provided something of true use to anyone interested in practicing and learning more about Hatsumi-sensei's art.

I want to take a moment to congratulate the Onmitsu Kage team for bringing this project to fruition. I've had some time to review the site and it has exceeded my expectations. Subscribing was easy and the site navigation is intuitive. The ordering of the techniques is logical and (when needed) the techniques are subdivided using a progression to demonstrate henka and/or other related points. It's clear a great deal of thought and work went into this. The content is already vast so I'm excited to see what will be added going forward. As Dr. Zoughari has discussed, there is no substitute for personal study. That said, the site and its systematic ordering of techniques are an incredible adjunct for the serious study of ninjutsu.
